. . . it is also important to get professional help in settling a large claim. The insurance company sends professional adjusters and estimators, who work for them. It is helpful to have professional people who work for you too. One of the mistakes we made was not involving professional folks on our team early (emphasis added). I would recommend hiring a public adjuster. The company we used is The Greenspan Co./Adjusters International, and they were VERY helpful.
