World Trade Center Bombing

New York, New York

Property loss consultants used for the world trade center bombing

The first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center occurred February 26, 1993, when a 1,500-pound bomb exploded in the site´s underground parking area. Six people were killed, and more than 1,000 were injured.

The claim for the 1993 World Trade Center attack involved highly complex preparation, presentation and settlement support for the building, personal property and business interruption claims. At the time, this attack resulted in one of the largest insured losses in U.S. history.

Adjusters International was retained by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to assist with their insurance claim involving extensive building and property losses coupled with a large business interruption claim. The damage scope totaled more than $400 million, and the processes were complicated by the many insurance companies involved, and the coordination of numerous experts.
