John Hartshorn is a Professional Public Insurance Adjuster based in the Los Angeles office of The Greenspan Company/Adjusters International. He focuses on losses throughout Southern California, such as the damages caused by the 2003 and 2007 San Bernardino mountain fires and the 2009 Malibu firestorms. John has also handled major national and international disasters for residential and commercial clients. In 2004, he handled multi-million dollar commercial losses in the Bahamas after hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, he lived in New Orleans in order to assist our clients who had over $40 million dollars in residential and commercial claims. He handled similarly damaging losses after Hurricane Ike in Houston, Texas in 2008.
John was born and raised in Encino, California. As an aspiring jazz bass player, he attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. After graduating, he worked for a drywall contractor, where he learned the trade. Applying the knowledge he gained has become useful in his career as a public adjuster.
John began his career at The Greenspan Company/Adjusters International as a claims coordinator. Determined to switch into a position that would allow him to help our clients more directly, he worked as an inventory specialist for a short time before becoming a licensed public adjuster. Today, he continues to excel as one of our senior adjusters.
John enjoys traveling and going to various events around L.A. with his wife and son. He also continues to enjoy playing music.
