The Greenspan Co. Testimonials
Non-Profit Testimonials
I want to thank you…for the professional and expedient manner in which you resolved our claim…What could have been a tedious, time consuming process for the Board and staff of The Washington Ballet was handled effectively and efficiently.
Prag House is an 8,000 square foot, three story structure with a full basement. Between the fire and the 25,000 gallons of water necessary to put it out, every floor and the basement sustained significant damage. How could we possibly embark on the steep learning curve required to responsibly oversee this work, while also working our full time jobs and fulfilling family obligations? We had dozens of questions and no answers. Frankly, none of us had ever heard of public adjusters. But after meeting with The Greenspan Co./Adjuster's International team to understand what they could do for us, and doing some research on different public adjuster firms, we decided to hire The Greenspan Co./Adjuster's International. It was, hands down, the best decision we could have made! Drew and The Greenspan Co./Adjuster's International team are extremely knowledgeable about the complex insurance laws and practices that most of us know little or nothing about – and yet can prove to be the most critical factor driving everything else. Bottom line: Hiring a public adjuster firm may seem expensive, especially in the initial hours and days after such a life-altering event, when money is tight and it’s hard to know how much anything will cost. It may be tempting to think it’s not really necessary. But if you hire the right public adjuster, it will be the best decision you make! The Greenspan Co./Adjuster's International was worth every penny we paid them!
Most importantly, Friends of Lubavitch of Florida Inc. a not for profit organization recovered more insurance monies with your guidance and support than had we decided to resolve the claim ourselves which we had attempted. Your unique phased approach created a time frame for us to become extremely comfortable with Adjusters International's and Pat's abilities to represent our organization. Within that period we found your interaction with the accountants coupled with the management of the adjusters allowed for us to submit a comprehensive well-documented claim. I would like to point out that as a not for profit organization our staff are not capable of handling this large of a claim. The services you provide added value and were deserving of the fees.
It was clear that we had two tasks ahead of us, both of which seemed enormous from our perspective. One was the reconstruction of our facility and the research programs it supported, and the other was the insurance claims that we would have to handle. Fortunately for us, we received a referral to your firm and agreed to retain you. As I look back at all the things the insurance companies tried to do during the adjustment process to avoid paying the claims, I can only imagine how the claims would have been handled had we not had you as our advocate, our ally, and our spokesperson. Your belief in our claim, your unwavering support of our institution, your skills, your tenacity, and your determination clearly inured to our benefit and ultimately fostered a settlement that was beyond our expectations.
Needless to say, the immediate aftermath of the fire was a time of considerable anxiety and uncertainty for those of us charged with the task of rebuilding the Program. As a non-profit public interest organization, we had almost no experience dealing with the miasma of complicated issues involved in coping with such an overwhelming event…I seriously doubt that we would have ever been able to restore our operations to normal so promptly or so well if Richard had not been helping us. His services were invaluable and I commend both him and your firm for the expertise and professionalism that were shown to us.
Faced with the awesome task of recovering from the fire that had just destroyed our headquarters building, the last thing I wanted to do was spend all my time documenting each and every item we lost and then arguing with the insurance company adjusters over the coverage. As a result, my chairman and I quickly agreed that getting the association up and running again would require all my time and that the documentation of our losses should, if possible, be left to others…The professionalism I experienced with your firm prompted me to overcome my initial reservations. That turned out to be a great decision as all the people at Adjusters International conducted themselves professionally and delivered very high quality products. You saved me untold hours and aggravation and saved the association a lot of money.
As you know, the Lodge has been rebuilt and is now back in the business of delivering traditional and locally-tailored Elks charitable services to their community. This would not have happened had it not been for Dow Brooks and your involvement; and, the community would have lost their Lodge. Recall that the original estimate to “restore” a badly fire and smoked damaged building with HAZMAT was approximately $240K. To the contrary, with your expert assistance and advice, we ended up receiving approximately $940K and were able to completely rebuild a new, right-sized, energy-efficient facility to serve the community; and further, to enhance and reinforce the central business district of Omak WA. While I certainly do not wish problems for any Lodge in Oregon or Washington, I do know a “Guy” who could really help them… YOU!
As you are aware, my predecessor made the unfortunate mistake of not hiring your firm in the very beginning when we suffered this devastating loss to our medical facility. At the time we had retained your firm. Lexington had measured our Business Interruption loss at only $140,000.00. Through you and Chris Glenister’s meticulous detailed schedules and income projections, we ended up collecting an additional $210,000.00, a 250% increase in our recovery. Your firm fees were minimal in comparison to our recovery.
